Pastor Alice Carlisle is the Co-Pastor of A Resting Place Church in Winston-Salem, NC. She attended Parkland High School, Rutledge Business College,Aurora Beauty College, and Vintage Bible College. She is married to Pastor Alvin E. Carlisle, and they have 3 children, Vincent, Alvin III, and Alex Emmanuel. Pastor Alice is a disciplined woman of God, apt to teach, train and instruct. She has a strong  passion for women’s ministry, where she desires for women to experience a total makeover, mind, body and spirit, in order that they know their value to God, themselves, and to others.

Pastor Alice is overseer over all church auxiliaries, and ministries. She’s a member of the choir, a praise leader, and women’s mentoring, and still finds time to balance her home and family. She loves the word of God. John 16:33, “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” Pastor Alice knows from experience, that you can truly overcome in the Lord. She is a phenomenal woman of God.

Pastor Alvin Carlisle is a native of Goldsboro, NC.  He accepted Christ while attending Winston Salem State University. A hunger for truth fueled pastor Carlisle’s passion for the word of God.  He began a lifelong pursuit of the truths of God’s Word.

Pastor Carlisle continued his growth in the Lord as a faithful member of the True Temple Holiness Church under the leadership of Apostle Wallace Gaither.  During his years of service, Pastor Carlisle served in various ministry posts and was licensed to minister the Word in June, 1992 and ordained an elder of the church, April 1995.  While serving at True Temple, Pastor Carlisle met and married Alice Cameron. 

Pastor Alvin Carlisle shepherds A Resting Place Church in Winston-Salem, NC, along with his wife, Pastor Alice Cameron Carlisle.   Pastor Carlisle founded the church in August, 1998.  Pastor Carlisle is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University.  As a teacher of the Word of God, Pastor Carlisle places high emphasis on having a biblical foundation for all we do and say.  The ministry God has given Pastor Carlisle has taken him throughout North Carolina, various other states and the Caribbean; bringing truth and understanding throughout the Body of Christ.  He is a sought after preacher, workshop facilitator, conference presenter, and clinician.  Pastor Carlisle resides in Winston-Salem with his wife Alice and their sons Alvin III and Alex.
