Jesus spoke to the multitude and proclaimed “come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and i will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matt. 11:28)

In a time when people are weary and burdened by the cares of this life, God has established a place of rest and healing:  A Resting Place Church.  Our unfading mission is to “preach good tidings to the meek; bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.” (Isa. 61:1)

A Resting Place provides the way for souls who have been held in darkness by the power of Satan, to walk in the light of Jesus Christ, to gain freedom sin and death, and to enjoy liberty of life in Jesus our Lord.  Our mission is not to only win the lost, but also to the reaching of the body of Christ.  Jesus said to not only “come to me” but also “learn of me”.

A Resting Place Church is committed to the building, strengthening and maturing of the body of Christ.  Our commission is to minister to the entire man; soul, body and spirit.  Our goal in Christ is to develop Christians into the thriving, functioning, victorious body of believers Christ intended.  Therefore, we dedicate ourselves to preaching of the gospel, the teaching of the word and the working of the ministry, until the coming of our Lord and to bring rest to God’s people.
