A Resting Place Church is a non-denominational, thriving gathering of believers, who have come together for the purpose of worshipping God.  Our worship of God includes Spirit filled worship services, practical teaching of the Word of God, community outreach and service, youth empowerment among other ministries.  A Resting Place Church is open to all who are excited about learning of the truth of Jesus Christ and the riches of a Christ centered life.

Pastors Alvin & Alice Carlisle are dedicated to bringing believers into a well-balanced life that Christ intended.  Their unrelenting mission is to cause the people of God to reach their God-given potential and to fulfill their God-given purpose.

Pastor Alvin & Alice Carlisle believe in the holistic affect of the gospel of Christ.  A Resting Place is founded on the philosophy that having a relationship with God through Christ Jesus and following his ways and teachings should have a positive affect on every aspect of the believer’s life.  The call of A Resting Place Church is a place where the weak grow strong and the strong grow great.  If the Body of Christ is to be a light in the world, the extent of our strength must not rest only within the four walls of the church.  Our strength must lie within the family, business and industry, academia, government, sports and entertainment as well as within the church.
